8,000 Attend Let Us Worship Event in South Africa

-

More than 8,000 participants gathered in South Africa on July 9 for the celebration of the second anniversary of the Let Us Worship movement.

Founder Sean Feucht led the crowd in lifting up the name of Jesus as he encouraged many others to receive Jesus as Savior. This is the first time the movement held an event outside the US after two years of mobile worshipping in the US, reports Faithwire.

Feucht and his team were overwhelmed with the response in Johannesburg. “Salvations, healings, freedom from addiction and SO MUCH HOPE AND JOY restored today. God is ALIVE and MOVING in South Africa!!!” Feucht tweeted.

During the event, Feucht invited those who were suffering from any form of dependence to receive God’s grace and love and be set free. Hundreds of worshippers came running toward the front of the stage, knelt and raised their hands to accept God’s love. Some left their packs of cigarettes, lighters and pills on stage as a symbol of freedom from their addiction.

“It felt like 1/3 of the crowd was running to Jesus for salvation, freedom (from) addiction, and surrender as drugs, needles, pills and lots more was thrown on the stage,” he wrote. “I’m undone and in awe again at the miracle power of JESUS tonight! HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!”

A member of the South African police force joined Feucht on stage and exclaimed, “This is the greatest crime prevention strategy for our nation!”

In addition to the worship event, the ministry gave bags of groceries to families in township areas in the city. “The love of Jesus becoming tangible for families across the city!” the worship leader tweeted.

Feucht launched the Let Us Worship movement in 2020 in response to the health restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He wanted another way to worship outside the church. What started as a small group of worshippers at the Golden Gate Bridge now has expanded globally. He has travelled to different states bringing God’s Word and spreading revival across the country. He led prayer meetings and worship events in Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and Washington.

Feucht’s “Let Us Worship” tour will be in Boise, ID on August 13, then Seattle, WA on August 20.
