Love is the answer God is the cure- Inspirational Memoir

by Aimee Cabo Nikolov

Just the title caught my attention I was intrigued. The Facebook page for the book signing event came up as a suggestion Love is the Answer God is the Cure by Aimee Cabo Nikolov, and I decided to click. Immediately I wanted to know more about the author. I also agree that God has the cure for many struggles we go through and that hanging on to his promises will get you through most problems.

Aimee Cabo Nikolov, a Cuban American writer right here from Miami, Florida. Just published her first book. Love is the Answer God is the Cure, an intimate memoir about overcoming very difficult circumstances through faith.

It’s a story about how Aimee and her sister were victims of sexual abuse, even making headlines for five years deemed as “The case from hell”. The case pitted Aimee and her sister against her parents who denied any knowledge of the abuse going on.

The memoir exalts God who gave Aimee the courage and love to persevere in spite of what she had gone through. From court battles, to poverty, abuse and addiction Aimee Cabo Nikolov is a true survivor! She shares her story so others can also know we serve a loyal God that we can call upon to help us through very difficult times and circumstances.

I had the chance to have a video conference with Aimee Cabo Nikolov who is quite interesting. It was not easy getting the book published, the title actually having been rejected. Yet this is a story that needs to be read especially in our current world. As a woman she exudes tremendous grace, humility and wisdom. As a writer she opens the mind of the reader to follow her through her personal experiences the highs and the lows of her story.

Here are some questions I asked to get a better sense of who she was and what her book meant to her:

What views would you say your memoir offers on God, how can your own faith help a non-believer?

“Anyone that reads my book will understand how unconditional God’s love is for all of us. I was a single mother for eight years, yet still prayed through all my struggles. I just always kept coming back to God. Now happily married to the love of my life, I find myself living answered prayer!”

How did the people in your life growing up influenced your personal relationship with God?

“My mother used to read the Bible to us, she was a devout Catholic. So it was church every Sunday, First Communion, everything we do as Catholics, and of course exercising the values that Christ teaches.”

Why do you feel “Love is the Answer God is the Cure is on perfect timing? Can your memoir Love is the Answer God is the Cure be applicable to events and situations we may be facing today?

“Yes I feel it can be applicable especially in the world we live today. Such as the metoo movement, the sexual abuse going on in the Catholic church, how it lacks transparency. God has taught me a lot of lessons in life. Most importantly I’ve learned a lot from Jesus’ unconditional love that conquers all.”

What other projects are you currently involved in?

“Right now I am starting to create awareness on #metoo for child abuse victims. I also host a radio show on The Biz form 2-3pm on Fridays. Also in Spanish “La Cura” on Saturdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm on Radio Luz.

Where can we find your book?
