How to Start and Run a Thriving Dinner Club this Year

-

In today’s fast-paced world, finding meaningful ways to connect with others can feel like a lost art. But what if you could create lasting friendships, share amazing meals, and have fun—all while keeping things organized and stress-free?

From a group of women in Palm Beach County who have been meeting for a dinner club for the past five years, a new dinner club and social media platform has been recently launched, called DinnerTwine, which revolutionizes the way you host and participate in dinner clubs.

Whether you’re looking to bring neighbors together, reconnect with old classmates, or bond with fellow food lovers, DinnerTwine makes it easy to start and sustain a dinner club.

Join DinnerTwine and Find Your Community

The first step is simple—sign up for DinnerTwine! From there, you can join an existing dinner club or create your own based on any community or interest group that speaks to you. Think about:

  • Neighborhood connections: Get to know the people living nearby
  • Shared interests: Culinary hobbies, wine enthusiasts, or gardening fans
  • Alma maters: Reunite with old classmates or college alumni
  • Family ties: Parents of children attending the same schools
  • Faith communities: Church groups or other faith-based organizations

DinnerTwine provides a user-friendly platform where you can connect with like-minded individuals who share your love of good food and meaningful connections.

Once you’ve joined or created a dinner club, it’s time to host your first event! DinnerTwine makes it easy with its intuitive event creation process.

Navigate to the Membership section. Under “Dinner Clubs” in the red, Member sidebar, click Create a dinner Event and complete the form in three sections.

Section 1: Event Basics

Start by choosing your dinner club (if you belong to more than one), setting a date and time, selecting a location, and picking a theme. Whether it’s “Tuscan Night,” “Comfort Food Classics,” or “Holiday Favorites,” a theme adds personality and excitement to your event.

Section 2: Build the Menu

Here’s where the magic happens. Choose the menu courses you’d like to feature (appetizer, bread, salad, entrée, vegetable, starch, dessert) and assign contributions for each.

For every menu item, you have three flexible options:

Choose Recipe: Select a recipe from DinnerTwine’s recipe library and assign it to a guest.

No Details: Leave the choice open for your guest to bring what they’d like.

Provide Details: Request that your guest let the group know what they’re bringing by typing in their dish, ensuring no duplicates and better planning.

Section 3: Customize Your Invitation

Here’s the fun part! Pick an invitation design that matches your theme. DinnerTwine automatically populates it with all the event details you’ve entered.

Publish Your Event: Once everything is set, click “Publish.” DinnerTwine will email your beautifully designed invitation to everyone in your dinner club, making communication seamless and professional.

Your dinner club members click on the signup button in their invitation which takes them to the signup sheet where Menu Items are visible to club members.

Enjoy the Experience

On the day of the event, you’ll have a curated menu, excited guests, and a thoughtfully planned evening—all made possible through DinnerTwine. Most dinner clubs meet monthly, rotating hosting responsibilities among members. This keeps the experience fresh, fun, and collaborative.
