Behold Europe 2022 to Train Young Evangelists

Date:

Young evangelists will meet in Germany for training and mentoring.

Behold Europe, a gathering of young evangelists in Europe, will be held in Hintersee, Germany from November 11-14, 2022. Participants will travel to southern Germany for a training focused on the proclamation of the Gospel. They will be mentored by several practitioners from the field as they explore solutions to the challenges of being evangelists, reports Evangelical Focus.

The biennial event is hosted by the European Young Evangelists Network (EYE Network), an alliance of groups training young evangelists across Europe. Behold Europe is seen as a key instrument in boosting the ministry foundation of the youth.

I am convinced that the raising up of evangelists is a key strategy for gospel impact in Europe today, evangelists who will faithfully preach the Gospel and equip the saints to do likewise. —Martin Durham, European Young Evangelists Network

Martin Durham, a member of the EYE Network’s leadership team, said, “I am convinced that the raising up of evangelists is a key strategy for gospel impact in Europe today, evangelists who will faithfully preach the Gospel and equip the saints to do likewise.”

He pointed out that the verse “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel,” from the book of Romans should be the foundation of every evangelist. “[It] needs to be the heartbeat of the evangelist today, as they communicate with passion, creativity and faithfulness to the message.”

Key note speakers for this year’s Behold Europe include Roland Werner, a professor of theology at Evangelische Hochschule Tabor, Germany; Roger Carswell, a travelling evangelist from the UK; and Paulina Król, Chief People and Operations Officer at an IT company in Poland.

Dr. Helder Favarin, founding team member of the EYE Network, believes the significance of gathering young evangelists to build connections and strengthen their mission. “Behold Europe presents a unique and strategic opportunity to connect, equip and mobilize young evangelists in the continent,” he said. “We so look forward to what the Spirit of God is going to do during Behold Europe 2022 and the greater impact young evangelists may have in their spheres of influence as a result.”

Christianity in Europe is in a decline. A Pew Research in 2015 showed that the number of Christian deaths exceeds the births among Christians. “In Germany alone, for example, there were an estimated 1.4 million more Christian deaths than births between 2010 and 2015, a pattern that is expected to continue across much of Europe in the decades ahead,” according to the research center. With this discouraging finding, it’s vital for young evangelists to equip themselves in sharing the Gospel that will bring a great impact among Europeans today.

Behold Europe is committed to train and mentor young evangelists. The EYE Network has training programs in Germany, Iceland, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK to prepare young men and women in spreading the word of God.
