Gloria Gaither encourages believers to ‘be the Church’

ALEXANDRIA, IND. — World famous Gospel song writer and Clare, Michigan graduate, Gloria Gaither is telling fellow believers now is the time to “be the Church.”

In a recent exclusive interview, Gloria told North Michigan Christian Voice she is very concerned about the current lack of understanding young people have of the Christian faith. She feels strongly the current generation does not need more teaching right now. What they need is to see Christians in action.

“We need to quit doing so much and be. You can have all the committee meetings you want in the church, but if you push someone out of the way during the coronavirus because you want to be first in line at the check-out counter, you might as well shut up about the Gospel,” says Gloria.

“I’m just saying Christians are called to be. This is a great opportunity right now to take care of your neighbors, make sure the older people have the food they need, share your toilet paper. It comes down to that.”

“A lot of times, our attitudes sabotage anything we might say and anything we might teach. You can’t teach people if they’re not there.”
